We were travelling in Eastern Ohio, crossed into Pennsylvania by Youngstown, and visited the farm of Tom and Amy Colpetzer, Greenville PA, intending to see their son George's "Kit Kat P" (EX95%) cow in her working clothes.     Once at the farm, we discovered a surprise-- Tom had picked up the last sons of Kevin Williams' S TOPS IMPRESSIVE cow, uniquely sired by Piedmont Amedeo Devine (more later).

Like Tom, we concluded that one brother was superior in his individual conformation to the other, and he became the focus of our interest:  IMPRESSIVES DEVINE.

The following season, after he had calves on the ground, we again visited Tom's, and decided, as the Colpetzer family had already, that "DEVINE" is a "breeding bull".    

Several heifers sired by "DEVINE" have been shown in the 2008 season, including a quartet that went to the Ohio Spring Spectacular and all placed in the top ten of their respective classes. 

   More information follows below.    Phenotypically, this is a bull who can put "type" back into the more common offspring of "Jace", for example, where a leaner neck, more substance of bone, and softer fore udder is desired.

with George Colpetzer at the halter, as she appeared after  placing 2nd (junior division) and 4th (open show) in her age class at the Harrisburg National Show, September 2007.

This same heifer stood 3rd in the  national junior show at Louisville in November 2007.

  A group of "Devine" heifers was shown at the Ohio Spring Spectacular in 2008, all shown made it into the top five placings at their ages. 

THE PEDIGREE LINES BEHIND  "IMPRESSIVE DEVINE"

His dam is  C TOPS IMPRESSIVE  (EX 95%)  whose career is truly "impressive", winning the National Jersey Jug three year old futurity, making three 30,000 lb lactations, multiple grand champion of both the Ohio and Michigan State Fairs, lifetime production of 191,000 pounds milk.

As a brood cow, her oldest daughter (WILLIAMS IMPRESSIVE IDEA) scored EX 93% and is the dam of  one of the more popular ABS Global AI sires, SC Goldust Paramount "Iatola".

One of the unique aspects of "IMPRESSIVE's" pedigree is that she is a complete outcross to Secret Signal Observer (sire of "Chocolate Soldier"-- which means "Sooner", and "Quicksilver"-- which means "Duncan", among others-- ie, the major mainstream AI sire lines).

IMPRESSIVE is sired by MASTER C TOPS (Master Milestone C  x  Gusto Milestone Christmas Day), her dam is sired by MILESTONES IMPERIAL (Advancer Sleeping Milestone  x  Generators Imp), and the next dam is sired by GRAMHIL LEADER SOPHIA SAMSON.

Her son IMPRESSIVE DEVINE whose semen we now offer, is sired by PIEDMONT AMEDEO DEVINE (Piedmont Grove Amedeo  x  Ron Net Maple Dorie Dee).   Note that Canada's newest EX 97% cow is a "Grove Amedeo" daughter-- this is a bull who sired tall Jerseys with open frames that walk uphill underpinned by good chests.
